I have a bit of an addictive personality, and when I find something I like I want to try all the things! I’ve been giving some Ere Perez products a thorough test and am now ready to share my experiences and let you know what I love, what I don’t love, and who I think these products would be great for.
Ere Perez Moringa All-Beauty Crème
The first product I’ve been testing is the Ere Perez Moringa All-Beauty Crème*. The description says:
Classic all-round beauty cream with a light and dreamy texture that moisturises while promoting radiance. A synergy of uniquely nutritious ingredients melts deeply into skin, gently soothing dryness, tired skin & sensitivities. When applied to skin, this hydrating cream leaves a satiny, glowing complexion. It’s the perfect prep for natural skin or makeup. Featuring moringa, known to accelerate cell renewal with potent vitamins A and amino acids. Boosting youthfulness with apricot kernel oil to firm and tone. Lemon balm offers powerful antioxidants, and prickly pear’s famously high vitamin E content encourages healthy skin. Welcome to your next beauty staple.
The first thing to note about this is the colour; it’s a creamy yellow colour. It’s also thicker than I imagined, and much more concentrated. From the description I was expecting a fairly light, liquid consistency but it’s much thicker. In a way, this is good as it means it’s difficult to get too much product out so there shouldn’t be wastage. Despite being quite a thick cream, it absorbs well and leaves skin feeling soft rather than greasy.
I’m a little disappointed with how it leaves skin looking though; from the description focus on glow and radiance I thought it might have some instant glow (from a slight tint or sheen perhaps) but it doesn’t. It’s certainly nothing like a BB cream (it doesn’t claim to be, but just clarifying as I was a little disappointed).
If you wear make up, this is perfect as a primer. It softens skin and leaves it feeling lovely and smooth ready for make up. I can imagine make up applies better on top of this than on bare skin, and because it absorbs so quickly this would be a really great product to use in that way.
I don’t find it moisturising enough to use in place of my usual moisturiser. It definitely softens and smoothes skin, but I don’t think it is moisturising enough if you have combination or dry skin, so I’d use this in addition to moisturiser.
Ere Perez Oatmilk Foundation and Multipurpose Brush
I’ve heard a lot of positive reviews of the Ere Perez Oat Milk foundation*, and have been looking for something slightly heavier than a BB cream for days when I want a bit more coverage. From the description:
This gorgeous creamy foundation is for light skins with natural oat milk. Hydrating, non-greasy, breathable and long-lasting for a flawless fresh finish. Medium to full coverage. You’ll love it! Unique formula with star ingredient natural oat milk, which is considered to help balance the pH levels in your skin and contains gentle natural exfoliating properties to assist with skin tone. This buildable foundation offers medium to full coverage. Use sparingly or layer up, your skin will still be able to breathe. Free from impurities, it won’t clog your pores and suits sensitive skin.
I don’t wear foundation very often and don’t like to wear anything too heavy so was a little concerned that this might be too full coverage for me and make me look too “made up”. I was very pleased to be proven wrong!
As with the beauty crème, the foundation is very thick and concentrated so you only need a tiny amount. Despite being so thick, it blends in so easily and looks really natural. I’ve applied it with my fingers or with the multipurpose brush (more on that in a moment!) and both work really well. The foundation helps to even skin tone and cover minor blemishes, though it isn’t at all flat looking. It gives a nice natural finish; not too shiny and not too matte.
I don’t know if I’ve been very lucky to get a great colour match, or if it blends so well that it doesn’t really matter, but Honey is really good for my skin. I can even use this foundation almost like a concealer; just using it to cover certain spots without needing to cover my face in foundation (I’ve been using it to minimise my dark circles or areas of red around my nose sometimes!).
It’s not at all drying, though I do always moisturise my skin well. I’ve been sometimes using the beauty crème as a primer which works really well for smoothing the skin before application (this isn’t necessary but does help).
I honestly can’t think of anything to criticise the foundation on – it’s not the cheapest but as you only need a tiny amount even with daily use it would last such a long time that I think it’s well worth it. The coverage is great, the look is natural, it’s easy to apply, it’s not messy, it’s just brilliant.
The brush is a fantastic companion too – it’s a dense brush but flexes well and is said to work well with any creamy products. I’ve only tested it with the foundation but I can confirm that it’s a great way to apply it and blends so smoothly. I don’t seem to be able to get it completely clean however, which I haven’t had a problem with in the past (I use brush cleanser and a mitt to cleanse deeply but this brush seems to stay stained).
I’m so impressed with Ere Perez so far. The stand out for me is the foundation as it’s just so versatile and easy to use and looks lovely on. As it’s buildable, I think this would be good for anyone if you can find a good colour match (there are only a small number of shades available).
The brush is a perfect companion to the foundation, and could be used with other cream or liquid products too.
The all-beauty crème is a nice primer, but not what I was expecting in terms of being a moisturiser which adds radiance.
I’m definitely keen to try more from Ere Perez; top of my wishlist at the moment is the Cacao Lip Colour in Wander* which is a lovely berry tint.
I probably wouldn’t repurchase the all-beauty crème, but would definitely repurchase the foundation – it’s my favourite liquid foundation for sure. I don’t need more than one brush, but I will definitely continue to use and clean it.
